NEMUG Members:
The present ongoing VCM in Boston will bring up many key topics that can
be focused at this NEMUG meeting and that we in the PNW would like to be
able to pass on to our membership. Cache development techniques that fit
into the "Enterpise View, Life Cycle Principles" applied to the healthcare
area will be very useful to all M community members and especially those
who are currently using Cache. Those who are attending the VCM from the VA
must surely be aware of the Zachman Information Architecture Planning (EAP)
concepts that provide the "Framework" for these ideas since that has
become the perpsective for federal planning for use of information
technology. Cache Users in our area will be most interested in how these
ideas can be incorporated into programs for our users so that use of the M
environment can be solidly explained to potential users not familiar with
EAP. EAP using M will have a certain profile that is different from other
data management environments and the advantages of this profile, including
the Cache developement environment will need to be fully appreciated by
potential users. We do, therefore, look forward to what is presented
during this meeting related to this subject.
